Operations Manager

A senior operational role responsible for leading a production stream within a fast-paced Food manufacturing environment. The position focuses on driving a strong safety culture, delivering production performance, and developing high-performing teams while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring robust health and safety standards through behaviour-based safety practices,
• Implementing risk assessments, and monitoring safety performance metrics.
• The role oversees production planning and execution against the master schedule, ensuring operational KPIs are achieved and aligned with wider business objectives.

The position plays a critical role in building and developing teams through effective recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management. A strong focus is placed on operational excellence, using continuous improvement methodologies to enhance process reliability, reduce waste, and optimise labour and equipment efficiency.

Working cross-functionally, the role identifies production bottlenecks, manages improvement projects, and uses data analysis to support problem solving and decision-making. Success in the role is measured by improvements in safety performance, operational efficiency, product quality, and the development of a capable and engaged workforce.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to drive operational improvements through data-led decision making and continuous improvement practices.
