Operations Manager - Builders Merchants / Construction Supplies

Role: Operations Manager Sector: Timber Supplies / Building Materials Location: Wigan / Makerfield Area Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 We are recruiting for an Operations Manager to assist the Branch Manager with the operational side of running this successful branch. This is a well-respected company, liked by customers and staff alike and it maintains a good presence in the area. We are looking for an ambitious, motivated and methodical individual who must have management / supervisory experience ideally within the disciplines of Transport / Logistics, Yard / Warehouse Management and Health and Safety. This experience should come from a current role within the builders merchants world or the construction supplies sector so that would mean you have relevant transferable skills and therefore you could ''hit the ground running''. Like in any business, Health and Safety is paramount, this role also involves the need to identify any potential issues and present suitable solutions. All the support you could need is there for you but once familiar with the role you will need to operate with a good degree of autonomy. The current team is well established and all the relevant systems are in place but the branch needs someone who can take ownership of the operational side of things.
