Operations Manager

Role Purpose The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of multiple projects run by Bassetlaw Foodbank (BFB). They will be required to deputise for the CEO, ensure compliance is followed, that BFB''s premises are well maintained and all projects have what they need to operate on a daily basis. About us Bassetlaw Foodbank was established in 2012 to tackle food insecurity across the district of Bassetlaw. Since 2020 the charity has expanded to tackle poverty on multiple fronts, running projects that focus both on the affordability and accessibility of food. We support residents of Bassetlaw who are in crisis, and those at risk of falling into crisis. Key Responsibilities Main Duties: Supporting the CEO; in line with the structure chart, managing paid resources (including deputising as needed). To oversee and ensure the operation of all BFB''s projects in tandem with one another. Managing volunteers across several charity projects. Being responsible for compliance across BFB''s sites. Being a point of contact for staff, volunteers, supporters, external and referral agencies, and clients. Occasionally acting as a key ''face'' of Bassetlaw Foodbank; networking on behalf of BFB; raising the profile of BFB; encouraging donations. Being a contact point for the organisation in relation to the charity including supporters, volunteers, referral agencies and clients.
