Operations ManagerLocation: LancashireIndustry: Metal RecyclingJob Type: Full Time, PermanentOur client, a UK-leading independent metal recycling business, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of daily yard operations and lead a team of 10. This is a hands-on management role focused on operational flow, workforce coordination, safety, and smooth communication across the site.Key Responsibilities: Overseeing and managing a team of 10 within a busy yard environmentActing as the central point of communication between the yard, transport team, management, and HandSPlanning and coordinating material movement in and out of the yardMonitoring weekly throughput (currently tonnes per week)Ensuring all prepared materials are accurately recordedDriving efficiencies, productivity, and safe working practicesMaintaining high standards of environmental and health and safety complianceSupporting with FLT and grab operations when required Requirements: Previous experience working within a yard environmentProven experience managing or supervising a teamStrong planning and communication skillsKeen awareness of health and safety and the ability to ensure full complianceFLT or grab experience beneficial Package Details: Salary: £40,000-£50,000 depending on level of experience22 days annual leave + bank holidays + Christmas shutdownMonday to Thursday: 08 00 / Friday: 08 30Permanent, full-time role within a respected name in the industry.
