Job Description for Operations Executive

Line manager: Operations Manager
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 Per Annum

Key Responsibilities:


Internal Communications & Events

  • Help create and circulate internal newsletters, team updates, or key policy changes
  • Support SLT with initiatives related to engagement and team building
  • Help organise company events, team socials, or award days out


Automation & Process Improvement

  • Own the documentation and standardisation of internal processes to reduce singular knowledge and free senior leadership time
  • Drive the automation of manual tasks, freeing up valuable resources and reducing operational costs
  • Responsible for IT troubleshooting queries managed via ticketing system

Data Integrity & Reporting

  • Manage the integrity and accuracy of data across departments to support decision making and strategic initiatives
  • Create and maintain regular business reports for leadership, ensuring data is consistent, accurate, and actionable
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide data driven insights to inform key business decisions


Internal Onboarding & Induction

  • Deliver onboarding plans for all new starters
  • Set up new users on internal systems (CRM, Emails, Comms tools)
  • Schedule and support first week inductions and shadowing with relevant teams
  • Coordinate desk setup and welcome materials


Learning & Development Coordination

  • Maintain internal process documentation and SOPs 
  • Schedule internal training 
  • Source external training providers as needed
  • Monitor training completion and feedback

Inbox & Calendar Management

  • Take ownership of shared inboxes and key administrative workflows to minimise interruptions for SLT
  • Manage CEO calendars, scheduling meetings to ensure focus on high priority tasks
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth scheduling and communication


Support to Senior Leadership and Marketing Team

  • Provide general administrative support to senior management, helping with both day to day operational needs and larger strategic projects
  • Help to execute on high priority business initiatives by coordinating resources, tracking project progress, and delivering operational insights
