Operations Director

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join an innovative and growing FMCG business as Operations Director. This is a critical leadership role, acting as the direct link between the Board and Operational Teams, requiring a hands-on approach, commercial acumen, and the ability to inspire and drive high performance across the site.

This role is perfect for a strategic and values-driven leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, championing a positive culture, and delivering operational excellence. You will be expected to bring energy and integrity to the leadership team while holding accountability for safety, quality, cost and service.

The task at hand will be to implement strategic objectives throughout all levels, overseeing all operational aspects of the business including Production, Engineering, Technical, Health & Safety and Supply Chain. You''ll lead the delivery of an engaging people plan, implement effective performance management and ensure robust operational planning to deliver customer satisfaction and commercial results. Your role will be pivotal in future-proofing the operation, embedding continuous improvement, and supporting sustainable growth.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in an Operations Director or similar senior operations role within FMCG.
• A strong, values-led leader who can motivate, coach and develop teams while holding them to high standards.
• Proven track record in delivering operational strategy that improves margin, efficiency, and quality.
• Strong understanding of H&S legislation, technical compliance, and plant operations.
• Demonstrable continuous improvement mindset, with experience driving CI initiatives and CAPEX projects.
• Comfortable reporting to the Board and making strategic decisions with commercial impact.
• Experience in plant commissioning and/or new builds would be highly beneficial.
