Operations Director – Contract Logistics – Multi-User – North EuropeAbout the RoleSeeking an experienced Operations Director to lead contract logistics across multiple shared-user warehousing sites. Responsible for operational excellence, client satisfaction, and growth within the UK multi-client distribution network.Reporting to the VP Contract Logistics – North Europe, you will oversee operations, client management, compliance, people development, and financial performance. Support new business launches and collaborate with commercial teams to expand capabilities.Note:

Hybrid role requiring regular travel, based anywhere in the UK.How You Will ContributeOperational LeadershipLead daily and strategic logistics operations across clients and sites.Optimize resource allocation to meet SLAs and KPIs.Standardize best practices and tailor solutions to client needs.Drive transitions, integrations, and continuous improvement projects.Client and Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary operational contact for clients, building trust.Maintain proactive communication and issue resolution.Collaborate with commercial teams on contracts, onboarding, and scaling.People and Performance ManagementLead site leaders and operations teams.Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and development.Develop talent pipelines through coaching and succession planning.Manage operational budgets and profitability.Partner with Finance on forecasting and margin optimization.Oversee billing, invoicing, and reporting.Compliance and RiskEnsure compliance with regulations, safety, and legal standards.Lead audits and risk mitigation efforts.Enforce SOPs and drive efficiencies using lean methodologies.Support deployment of technologies like WMS, TMS, automation.Adopt industry best practices.What You Will BringBachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, logistics, or business.Extensive experience in contract logistics within a multinational environment.Proven management of multi-user warehouse operations.Strong commercial and operational skills.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Detail-oriented with collaborative mindset.Results-driven and proactive.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.CompensationDP World offers competitive packages and opportunities for growth within a global organization committed to innovation and diversity.About DP WorldDP World is a leading global trade enabler, with over 103,000 employees across 75 countries, committed to transforming trade through innovative logistics and technology solutions.We foster a diverse and inclusive environment, encouraging employees to be their authentic ..... full job details .....
