About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Co-ordinator to join a growing and dynamic logistics business following a recent period of expansion.
This role sits within a busy operations and bookings team and will focus on managing import and export shipments across sea and road, ensuring the smooth movement of goods in line with current legislation and best practice.
It is a busy, hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a cooperative environment and enjoys problem-solving and prioritising workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Coordinate transport across sea freight and road freight operations
- Liaise with customers, hauliers, shipping lines and international partners
- Handle shipping documentation and support customs-related processes
- Provide proactive updates to customers on shipment progress
- Resolve operational issues efficiently and prioritise urgent requirements
- Support account management and maintain strong client relationships
What We Are Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in import operations (sea and/or road freight)
- Good understanding of customs procedures and documentation
- Background in logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain operations
- Strong communication skills, particularly handling customer enquiries
- Confident using systems and technology within an operations environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience managing both import AND export

Package & Benefits
- Salary starting at -30,000 (rising post-probation)
- Company performance bonus
- Hybrid working of typically 2 days within the office
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Private healthcare
- Travel support (parking or public transport contribution)
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
