Operations Assistant

Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Operations Assistant to work a late shift of Monday - Friday 12pm - 9pm for a busy well-established Courier company based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area.Duties:-Respond to internal and external emails timely and in a professional manner using Outlook and ZoomCommunicate with internal and global departments for queries, additional shipping document information needed and shipment related issues.Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork.Booking flights with airlines/agentsAdministration dutiesRaising Export Customs Entries on CDSCustoms software we use is DescartesLiaising and progress chasing with HMRC for amendments and statusesManifesting and pre-alerting of flightsRaising MAWBsRaising T1 documents for road shipmentsWarehouse duties, shipment accountability, bagging and labellingNo heavy lifting, all shipments weigh less than 32KgsImport SFD and FDE clearances knowledge would be beneficialT1/T2 clearances/dischargesTemporary Admission clearancesImportation and Exportation of ATA Carnet / Cites goodsSupporting and coordinating Transport needs where requiredTaking responsibility for the company''s freight and assets by reporting any suspicious activity at workStoring and replenishing stock according to established proceduresReporting any damaged or missing goods to Operations ManagerKeeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipmentFollowing workplace health and safety ..... full job details .....
