A new opportunity for an Operations Administrator is available with my client who are a leading pumps and rotating equipment manufacturer. Their ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience within an engineering, manufacturing, OEM, industrial environment.  

Operations Administrator role:
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Operations and be responsible for providing effective administrative, coordination and reporting support as well as:
Keep accurate operational, order and delivery information within the ERP/business management system.
Monitor aftermarket order progress, key dates and outstanding actions.
Support project, procurement and production teams with status updates, trackers, reports and follow-up actions.
Identify potential delays, issues or information gaps and escalate them to the appropriate manager.
Support operational, project, procurement and production meetings with accurate information and administration.
Maintain action trackers and ensure agreed actions are followed up to completion.
Coordinate information between departments to improve visibility and flow of work.
Support continuous improvement of operational processes, reporting and system data.
Ensure information is accurate, timely and readily available to support effective operational decision-making.

Operations Administrator requirement:
Ideally educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Maths, or relevant practical experience.
Proven experience in an operations administration, coordination, manufacturing administration or similar role
Proven work experience within an manufacturing, engineering, OEM or industrial environment.
Proven experience supporting operational, project, procurement or production teams.
Working knowledge with ERP/MRP or business management systems.
Good level of written and numerical literacy.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confident coordinating multiple activities, priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting. 
Good understanding of manufacturing, production, procurement and order fulfilment processes.
Able to identify potential operational issues and escalate them appropriately.
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential business information.
Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of the importance of cost, quality and delivery.
