Central Recruitment is a recruitment company sourcing an Operations Administrator for our client based in Blackburn. 

An Operations Administrators main duties are to support the effective running of any current operations / campaigns. Provide management information / report to all section managers and to communicate well and be an effective part of a large ever growing team.

The company works a 24 hour operation, this specific role will run over two of three shifts. Monday - Friday 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm rotating weekly. 

Daily duties

  • Carrying out the daily picking allocations in line with the site pick waves.
  • Identifying any orders with allocation and following through either by liaising with goods in for goods awaiting putaway or raising internal transfer orders.
  • Confirming WMS transactions as instructed i.e. putaway and picking.
  • Organise and provide quotes for dedicated transport. Liaison with delivering drivers
  • Supporting with administration updating traffic calendar and scanning delivery paperwork.
  • Controlling and releasing adhoc receipts in line with operational throughput capabilities.
  • Query management from Operations and client services in relation to unpicked orders.
  • Run inbound reports and flag any receipts that are close to the SLA time limit.
  • Communicate with shift managers over any issues.
  • Deal with WMS issues.
  • General data input across internal reporting.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, observing health and safety procedures at all times. Ensure that the work area is kept clean and free from hazards and waste at all times.
  • Undertake other duties as required in order to support the business in achieving excellence for all customers.

Person Specification

Conscientious, hardworking, trustworthy and accurate individual who can work to timed deadlines. Must have a logical approach and have the ability to both understand the operational requirements and the priorities on any given day and organise workload accordingly. This is a busy and challenging role. The candidate will have a positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to accept responsibility.
