About the Role
This temporary Operational Prison Support role with Manpower UK is based at HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes. Working 37 hours across a seven-day shift pattern, the postholder covers evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, with night duties running 8.45pm to 07.45am on a seven-on, seven-off basis, roughly one set every 36 weeks. Pay reaches £16.14 hourly, rising beyond £28.65 with overtime. Duties include managing gate entry and exit, conducting searches, escorting contractors, vehicles and inmates, monitoring CCTV, reporting suspicious behaviour, and processing visitors. Applicants need vigilance, strong communication, integrity and the ability to follow strict security procedures within a custodial setting.
