About the Role
This temporary Operational Prison Support role with Manpower UK sits within HMP Liverpool, offering up to £13.45 hourly plus overtime at £17.89 weekdays and £23.54 weekends. Working 37 hours across Monday to Friday, the postholder handles gate duties, visitor checks and prisoner escorts. Daily tasks include managing entry and exit searches, monitoring CCTV, reporting suspicious behaviour, processing visitors and overseeing mail censorship. Applicants also assist with prisoner processing and food delivery. Strong communication, vigilance and the ability to follow strict security procedures are essential. The assignment provides 20 days annual leave plus public holidays, alongside access to training and career development.
