Overview

Operational Lead Radiographer - Cardiac CT and MRI - Band 8a12 months fixed term post. Bart''s Heart and Thorax Centre (BHTC) is seeking a Cardiac MRI/CT trained Radiographer with clinical and managerial experience to lead the Cardiac Radiography team within the largest Cardiovascular Centre in Europe.The post involves leading a team of Cardiac Radiographers, collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues, and reporting on service demands, expansion and delivery, as well as development of the professional group.Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day provision of the Cardiac MRI and CT services to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate patient appointments.Provide high-profile Clinical Specialist support to the cardiac MRI and CT suites and the Cardiac Imaging department.Liaise with departmental Superintendent Radiographers regarding staffing and resource issues; manage dedicated and rotational cardiac MRI and CT staff.Act as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) for the service and complete required training to be added to the Bart’s Health RPS register.Interact with senior hospital staff to report on service demands and delivery; articulate knowledgeably on complex technical issues to service users.About us
