Operational Health & Safety Lead

We''re recruiting for an Operational Health & Safety Lead to join a well-established engineering organisation with projects across Scotland and the UK. This is a highly visible leadership role where you''ll work alongside operational teams to improve safety performance across workshops, manufacturing operations and customer sites.

You''ll be responsible for embedding a positive safety culture, coaching managers and supervisors, improving behavioural safety and ensuring safe systems of work are implemented effectively.

• Health & Safety leadership across workshop and site operations
• Promote behavioural safety and interaction
• Support Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Carry out site inspections, audits and workplace safety reviews
• Lead accident, incident and near miss investigations
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety training
• Contractor management and permit to work activities
• Build strong working relationships with operational teams and customers

• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Previous experience in a senior operational Health & Safety role
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
• Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction, industrial or heavy operational environments
• Full UK Driving Licence
