Open Spaces Project Manager

The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Environment Team on a range of projects linked to a 2.5 million Public Initiatives Fund. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering rejuvenation and improvement projects across parks, playgrounds and public open spaces, helping to create safer, more sustainable and community-focused environments. Key Responsibilities Produce and manage procurement documentation for multiple projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with governance requirements. Develop project plans, timelines, milestones and reporting structures. Identify, manage and mitigate project and environmental risks. Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, stakeholders and local communities. Maintain accurate project records, financial reporting and compliance documentation. Support initiatives focused on reducing anti-social behaviour and improving safety within parks and open spaces. Coordinate with communications teams to promote projects and public engagement initiatives. Arrange and lead stakeholder meetings throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with the production of project specifications and procurement requirements. Experience Required Proven project management experience, ideally within parks, open spaces or environmental improvement projects.
