Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Online Music Teacher to provide engaging and effective virtual music instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, proficiency in one or more instruments (or voice), and the ability to inspire students in a remote learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver live, one-on-one or group music lessons via video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Skype, Google Meet).
Customize lesson plans according to students'' age, skill level, goals, and musical interests.
Teach music theory, technique, ear training, and performance skills.
Assign appropriate practice materials and monitor students'' progress.
Provide regular feedback and encouragement to students and parents (if applicable).
Prepare students for recitals, exams, auditions, or competitions as needed.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson notes, and student evaluations.
Stay updated on new teaching methods, music technology, and repertoire.
Qualifications:
Degree or certification in Music Education, Performance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior teaching experience (online or in-person) preferred.
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Reliable internet connection, webcam, and microphone setup.
Familiarity with digital music tools, sheet music software, or learning platforms (e.g., Noteflight, SmartMusic, or similar) is a plus.
Ability to engage and motivate students in an online setting.
Work Schedule:
- 3.5 hours needed per week, from 7pm on any weekday
