ONGOING Class 1 Driver

HGV 1 Nightshift trunk driver required for new contract in the Hereford area

working Sunday to Thursday nights

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy goods vehicles, during night shifts to transport goods from Herford to Runcorn
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with legal standards
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Complete accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests etc
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse teams to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, reporting any mechanical concerns immediately

Skills

• Proven minimum 1 years experience as a commercial HGV 1 driver
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and valid HGV license
• Knowledge of road regulations, safety standards, and best practices for night driving
• Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients
• Attention to detail in completing paperwork and following safety procedures
