Remedy International Medical are working with an established hospital in Bermuda, which is a British Overseas Territory to recruit an experienced Registered Nurse, with Oncology experience.Situated in the North Atlantic, with a sub-tropical climate, beautiful beaches and aquarium-like waters, if you love the outdoors, this could be the island for you.Responsibilities

Administers chemotherapy, biotherapy and immunotherapy and monitors patients on chemotherapy during their treatmentsFunctions as a primary care nurse by assessing client/patient and family needs, formulating care plansWorks closely with Oncologists, Pharmacists and other members of the Health care team to obtain patient histories, collect specimens, evaluate effectiveness of treatment, and educate patients on treatment and follow-up careConsults with Oncologists regarding patients’ status and progressEnsures that the Clinical Manager / Nurse in Charge are kept abreast of changes and problems related to assigned patientsParticipates in unit Quality Improvement activities and, approved research projectsFunctions as a preceptor/monitor and role model for new junior staff, as well as peersParticipates in committees, attends staff meetings, in-services and educational programsPerforms added nursing and delegated medical acts as requiredQualifications and Registration required

Registered Nurse with Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institutionCurrent registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council, as requiredMinimum of two years current post grad experience as an Oncology Nurse administering Chemotherapy requiredCurrent certifications: BCLS requiredOncology Clinical Nurse Certification (ONC) (Chemo) or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) preferredChemotherapy Biotherapy certification preferredExcellent intravenous skills including starting, maintaining, and troubleshooting common intravenous access. Experience with implanted ports requiredThe Offer

Starting Salary: $76,000 with a low tax rateSubsidised housing for the first 3 months, with travel and relocation allowance, plus an attractive benefits package.2 year contractsSeniority level
