OHL Engineer

Advance TRS is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded engineering consultancy on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced OHL Engineer to join their growing Overhead Line (OHL) team.This is an excellent opportunity to work on major Electricity Transmission and Distribution projects from 33 kV upwards, delivering engineering solutions from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction. The RoleAs an Advanced OHL Engineer, you will take technical responsibility for the development and delivery of OHL projects, providing engineering expertise across steel structures, foundations, conductors, conductor systems and associated infrastructure.You will work closely with clients, project managers, engineers and design teams to develop safe, technically robust and constructible solutions while ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality, programme and budget.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the technical delivery of OHL design projects from feasibility through to detailed design.Design and specify steel overhead line structures, foundations, conductors and conductor systems.Develop and review conceptual, preliminary and detailed OHL designs.Produce and check engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.Develop, review and verify PLS-CADD and PLS-TOWER models.Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, client specifications and company procedures.Apply appropriate OHL standards including BS EN ..... full job details .....
