CDS Labour re currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Ofsted Registered Manager to lead our clients brand-new, beautifully furnished 3-bed EBD Children's Residential Home in the heart of Walsall.

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are maintained at all times.

The Role of Ofsted Children’s Manager:
•Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
•Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement processes, including Regulation 45 reports, audits, action plans, and responses to Regulation 44 visits and local authority assurance inspections.
•Monitor incidents, complaints, performance indicators, and outcomes to drive service excellence.
•Develop and maintain a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment that promotes positive outcomes for children and young people.
•Lead, supervise, and support staff through induction, supervision, appraisal, and ongoing professional development.
•Ensure staffing levels, training, and evidence-based practice support the delivery of outstanding care.
•Build effective partnerships with local authorities, social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals, and safeguarding agencies.
•Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and individual placement plans to ensure children's needs are met effectively.
•Promote safeguarding and child protection practices, ensuring the welfare of children remains paramount at all times.
•Manage budgets, resources, administration, and reporting requirements effectively.
•Represent the home professionally at meetings, reviews, and multi-agency forums.
What we need from you:
•Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within the required timeframe).
•A recognised qualification in childcare, such as Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Children and Young People, or equivalent.
•Minimum 1 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within a childcare or residential setting.
•Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
•A thorough understanding of safeguarding legislation, procedures, and best practice.
•Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
•Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
