Location: Hornchurch, Essex
Salary: -28,000 - -31,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Benefits: 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Christmas shutdown, pension and on site parking
An established construction company is seeking an organised, proactive and detail oriented Office Administrator & Document Controller to join their busy team on a permanent basis. This is a varied and hands on role that will see you working closely with Directors, Contracts Managers, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors, providing essential administrative support across the business while ensuring company and project documentation remains compliant, accurate and easily accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day office administration and supporting company Directors and Contracts Managers.
- Maintaining project documentation, filing systems and document control processes.
- Coordinating meetings, diaries, travel arrangements and site visits.
- Managing supplier and subcontractor records, documentation and onboarding administration.
- Supporting compliance activities, including insurance renewals, certifications and training records.
- Assisting with HR administration, onboarding and employee record management.
- Coordinating office supplies, facilities and company vehicle administration.
- Tracking project actions, deadlines, renewals and outstanding documentation.
- Ensuring accurate digital and physical filing systems are maintained across the business.
- Providing professional communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous office administration experience
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- A professional, reliable and proactive approach
