The main purpose of the role is to act as a Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), providing expert treatment and care, coordination, and support for patients with Oesophageal Gastric cancer at an advanced practice level. The post holder will contribute to advancing knowledge through education, research, and audit, as well as developing practice in others regarding this patient group. They will play a key leadership role alongside other clinical nurse specialists to lead the service and deliver strategic objectives. The role involves working within a multi-professional team to ensure seamless, coordinated care and timely referrals to other professionals and agencies. The post holder will work across service boundaries within the Oesophageal Gastric and Oncology services and lead service improvement initiatives, including follow-up pathways.Responsibilities
