Ocean Operator

Our client, a well-established international freight forwarding business, is seeking an experienced Seafreight Import or Export Operator to join their growing operations team.This is an excellent opportunity for a freight professional with a minimum of 2 years'' experience in Seafreight Imports or Exports who is looking to take ownership of shipments from start to finish within a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.The RoleOperating within a cradle-to-grave structure, you will be responsible for managing the complete shipment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless service for customers while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesManage Seafreight Import or Export shipments from booking through to final delivery.Coordinate all aspects of the shipping process, including documentation, customs requirements, carrier bookings, and customer communication.Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers, warehouses, and customers to ensure smooth movement of cargo.Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any operational issues or delays.Prepare and process all relevant freight documentation accurately and efficiently.Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping, customs, and company procedures.Take ownership of individual job files, including responsibility for revenue generation and profitability (PandL).Maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication and service delivery.Support the wider operations team as ..... full job details .....
