Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for an Ocean Import Operator to join their office in Basildon.Manage import process from pre-alert to release.Send invoices to UK importers prior to shipments arriving - whilst checking correct tariffEnsure cost estimates are entered on all jobs within the correct accounting monthCheck purchase invoices are correct on receipt. Pass all correct invoices for payment and dispute anything that is not as agreed.Close files after checking everything has been charged/costed and maximum profitability is achievedAnswer telephone in a timely mannerObtain rate of exchange from carrier and update systemBook deliveries with hauliersMonitor any port health hold where applicableManage email communications from customers, hauliers and warehousesHandle releases on CNS and Destin8 where requiredEnsuring any clearance instructions are passed to the clearance team in a timely ..... full job details .....
