Location: Central Birmingham
Salary: Up to -36,000 (DOE)

As a recruiter partnering with a growing and ambitious freight forwarding business based in central Birmingham, I''m currently looking to recruit an Ocean Import Coordinator to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced import professional who wants to be part of a company that genuinely invests in its people, offers outstanding benefits, and is continuing to grow year on year.

The Role:

• Managing the end-to-end ocean import process

• Coordinating FCL and LCL import shipments

• Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and customers

• Preparing and checking import documentation

• Tracking shipments and providing proactive updates to customers

• Ensuring customs clearance processes are completed accurately

• Resolving queries and issues in a timely and professional manner

• Maintaining accurate records within freight systems

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in ocean freight imports (essential)

• Strong understanding of import documentation and procedures

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Well organised with strong attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment

• A proactive and team-focused approach
