Ocean Import Coordinator Manchester Full Time Permanent We are seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join a busy and growing operations team. This role is primarily focused on managing inbound sea freight shipments and would suit someone with a strong background in ocean imports, customs processes, and customer service within freight forwarding. Export and cross-trade activity may arise occasionally, but imports will be the main focus of the position. The Role You will be responsible for overseeing ocean import shipments from receipt of pre-alert through to customs clearance and final delivery, ensuring cargo moves efficiently, compliantly, and in line with customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage FCL and LCL import shipments from origin through to final destination Process pre-alerts and monitor shipment progress from overseas partners Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, warehouses, customers, and international agents Coordinate customs clearance activities and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete Arrange cargo release, transport, and final delivery requirements Keep customers informed with proactive shipment updates and issue resolution Maintain accurate operational records, job costing, and invoicing Support account growth through excellent customer service and relationship management Assist with additional freight movements and operational projects as required Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry regulations ..... full job details .....
