Ocean Import Coordinator Location: Solihull Salary: 28,000 - 32,000 per annum (DOE) Job Type: Full-Time Permanent The Opportunity Our client, a well-established and growing international freight forwarding business, is seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join their busy operations team based in Solihull. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and customer-focused freight forwarding professional to manage ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring shipments are handled efficiently while delivering outstanding service to customers and overseas partners. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end ocean import process from booking through to final delivery. Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, customs brokers and customers to ensure the smooth movement of cargo. Monitor shipments and provide customers with regular progress updates. Prepare and process import documentation accurately and in accordance with company procedures. Coordinate customs clearance and ensure compliance with all UK import regulations. Arrange transport and final deliveries with hauliers and warehouse partners. Raise job files, check costs and process supplier and customer invoices. Resolve any shipment delays or operational issues in a professional and timely manner. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and overseas partners.
