This is a senior role for an experienced Ocean Freight Manager who can combine operational leadership with commercial drive, growing volumes, developing customer relationships and shaping the next phase of an established logistics operation in Northern Ireland.Location: County Antrim - Based onsite this role is commutable from Ballymena, Antrim, Newtownabbey, Ballyclare, Ballynure, Crumlin, Carrickfergus, Lame, Lisburn, Belfast and surrounding areas. A competitive salary is on offer alongside great benefits which include: 33 days annual leave (28 plus BH) , Health Cash Plan, EAP, ongoing development opportunities , company events, wellbeing initiatives and free on-site parking!What will you be doing?Taking ownership of ocean freight import and export operations across global trade lanes, ensuring strong service levels, operational performance and customer satisfaction.Driving container volumes, revenue and profitability by identifying new markets, sectors and commercial opportunities.Building and strengthening customer relationships while actively developing new business opportunities.Negotiating rates, contracts and service agreements with shipping lines, carriers and overseas partners to support competitive and profitable solutions.Working closely with Customs and Compliance colleagues to ensure smooth clearance and adherence to international trade requirements.Leading, coaching and ..... full job details .....
