Ocean Export Operations Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced-Ocean Export Operations Coordinator-to join an established freight forwarding business based in Solihull.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in-ocean freight forwarding and export operations-who is looking to develop their career within a busy and professional logistics environment.

The Role

Working as part of the operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating ocean export shipments from start to finish, ensuring customers receive a high level of service and shipments are handled efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing ocean export shipments from booking through to final delivery
• Liaising with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents and other relevant parties
• Preparing and processing export documentation
• Booking cargo with shipping lines and coordinating vessel schedules
• Monitoring shipment progress and providing customers with regular updates
• Handling customer queries and resolving any operational issues
• Ensuring all shipments are processed accurately and within required deadlines
• Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate shipment records
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth end-to-end service
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within-freight forwarding, with a strong understanding of ocean export operations.
