Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant Children s Residential Services (EBD) Location: Bexley, London Service: Children s Services Reports to: Registered Manager / Clinical Lead / Occupational Therapist Hours: Part-time or full-time (flexible; may include some evenings to support routines. Job Purpose The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) supports the delivery of occupational therapy informed interventions for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) living in a residential setting. The role focuses on promoting emotional regulation, sensory integration, daily living skills, independence, and participation in meaningful activities, under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist. Key Responsibilities Support occupational therapy plans through daily activities and routines. Help children develop emotional regulation, coping, and independence skills. Use sensory strategies and monitor children s responses to support needs. Build positive relationships and support children during emotional distress. Encourage participation in education, hobbies, and community activities. Work with the wider team and contribute to care planning and reviews.
