Occupational Therapist Team Manager (Band 7)
Key Roles and Responsibilities Manage a specialist clinical caseload of patients with complex Occupational Therapy needs across Assessment and Treatment and Forensic Learning Disability Services. Deliver high-quality, person-centred and evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments, functional assessments, interventions, and treatment plans. Assess patients'' strengths, needs, risks, barriers, and occupational goals, developing individualised interventions in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and the MDT. Provide specialist Occupational Therapy input across inpatient and community settings, adapting interventions to complex patient needs. Work as an integral member of the MDT, providing specialist clinical advice and supporting holistic patient care. Provide Band 7 clinical leadership within the Occupational Therapy service, supporting service planning, development, workload management, and effective service delivery. Supervise, support, and develop junior Occupational Therapists, assistants, and support staff through supervision, guidance, and reflective practice. Contribute to safeguarding, risk management, clinical governance, audit, quality improvement, and service development. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote safe, professional practice in line with HCPC standards, Trust policies, and professional guidance.
