• To provide safe, effective and efficient rehabilitation interventions working with all relevant services (internal and external) e.g. Social Services, voluntary services to ensure patient/carer needs are met as identified by assessment.

• To carry out appropriate specialist occupational therapy assessment of needs including physical, cognitive/perceptual sensory, emotional and environmental to assist with planning appropriate short and long term intervention/rehabilitation

• To manage a caseload of patients with complex needs, using evidence
  based/patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate
  interventions

• To negotiate with patients and carers to develop individual care plans to meet the
  assessed needs and to maximise independence in an efficient and sensitive way,offering choice were possible.
