We are recruiting a Community Occupational Therapist for our local authority client in North East London.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out complex Occupational Therapy assessments within the community.
• Complete manual handling assessments and recommend appropriate equipment.
• Advise on and implement optimal care techniques to promote independence and safety.
• Assess for and recommend housing adaptations, including minor and major works.
• Work collaboratively within an integrated locality team alongside health and social care colleagues.
• Provide professional advice and support to service users, carers, and other professionals.

Requirements:

• Must have a Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy and must have current HCPC registration.
• At least 2 years post qualification experience.
• Experience of complex manual handling, optimal care techniques and housing adaptations.
