Occupational Therapist Clinical Demonstrate awareness of own professional role and boundaries, acting in accordance with the HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and the Royal College of Occupational Therapy Standards for Occupational Therapy Practice, Conduct and Ethics. Communicate effectively with a range or people on a range of matters in a form that is appropriate to them and the situation recognising need to talk openly and honestly Listen actively to individuals, their families and friends about their concerns related to the end of life and provide information and support. Work in a person-centred way, recognising people as experts in their own lives. Assess symptoms in ways appropriate to role including using assessment tools, history taking and appropriate physical/clinical examination. Know when to refer concerns to specialist colleagues.
