Role: Occupational Health Physician
Hours: Full time (Part time available)
Salary: £120k (pro rata for part time)
Location: Primarily remote, with occasional office visits (Stockport)
I''m currently working with a forward-thinking occupational health provider who are looking to appoint an Occupational Health Physician to strengthen their clinical team. This role offers flexibility—whether you’re seeking part-time or full-time hours—and the chance to contribute to a progressive, modern approach to occupational health.
The Role
The position is split between Management Referrals and Health Surveillance escalations, with the balance initially weighted more towards referrals (around 70–80%) and growing towards surveillance as the service expands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering comprehensive Management Referrals, providing practical, tailored advice to support employee health and workplace productivity
- Offering expert input on Health Surveillance escalations and advising Occupational Health Advisors
- Assisting with the development and refinement of health surveillance policies and procedures
- Identifying efficiencies to improve service delivery and commercial performance
- Contributing to audits and quality improvement initiatives
About You
- GMC registered with a licence to practice
- Proven experience as an Occupational Health Physician
- Strong background in management referrals and health surveillance
- Ability to provide clear, evidence-based advice with a practical workplace focus
- Confident working within a multi-disciplinary clinical environment
- Keen to support service development and process improvement
