Occupational Health Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our People team. This role is based at our Head Office in Central London (NW1 4LJ). We offer a competitive salary of up to £58,790 per annum plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Occupational Health services focus on managing worker health and supporting employers in meeting their legal responsibilities, such as creating healthy workplaces, preventing work-related ill health, providing health surveillance, and making work adjustments for individuals with health issues or disabilities.
Job ProfileThe successful candidate will help develop and implement the OH strategy to ensure the delivery of a responsive, commercially focused service aligned with our vision, mission, and values. As a subject matter expert, you will build partnerships within clinical and non-clinical teams, as well as with external partners. Key responsibilities include:
Providing comprehensive occupational health services, including pre-employment assessments, case management, health surveillance, health screening, and fitness for work evaluations.
Supporting health and wellbeing initiatives and campaigns, such as safe use of medical sharps, skin care, mental health, and flu vaccination campaigns.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and employees to promote health and maintain work attendance, understanding the benefits of good work and the impact of avoidable health-related absences.
Assessing, planning, and advising on employee fitness to work in a timely manner.
Providing advice to staff with fit notes about suitable duties, promoting a ''can do'' approach.
Guiding managers on sickness absence management, including issues like musculoskeletal disorders and mental health.
Supporting managers and the People Team in managing health-related staff absences within employee relations processes.
Skills and Experience
Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.
Occupational Health qualification recorded on Part 3 of the NMC Register.
Significant post-registration experience in occupational health.
Excellent communication skills, able to work under pressure and independently, as well as in a team.
Extensive clinical experience post-registration.
