Occupational Health Nurse Advisor

This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join the MOH team at a chemical processing company near Cowdenbeath. The MOH team delivers high standards of clinical care, case management, and expert advice to employees across the business.

About the role:

• This is a part-time position (15 to 22.5 hours per week, 2-3 days per week).
• You will be based 100% on site at the Cowdenbeath location (KY4 8EP).

About you:

• You must be a Registered Nurse (Adult) with current and unrestricted NMC registration.
• Previous corporate occupational health experience is desirable, though experience in other clinical areas such as A&E or minor injuries will also be considered.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conducting pre-employment fitness for work and health screening assessments.
• Carrying out health surveillance, including audiometry, spirometry and Emergency Response Team (ERT) medicals.
• Advising management on medical issues affecting employees, such as sickness absence, case management and work-related illness / injury.
• Preparing employees for overseas travel and expatriate assignments, including providing immunisations and vaccinations.
• Performing alcohol breath testing and specimen collection under the Alcohol and Drug use policy.
• Conducting biological monitoring including blood, urine, and breath samples.
• Offering health counselling and advice, signposting employees to appropriate medical support for both acute and chronic conditions.
• Delivering targeted health promotion and wellbeing initiatives.
• Supporting the MOH Manager and colleagues with OH issues within your area of responsibility.

Additional details:

• This role is inside IR35.
• Rates advertised are PAYE, though you may operate via an umbrella company if preferred.
