Summary

KML Occupational Health is looking for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join its clinical team on a fully remote, part-time basis.

You will provide professional case management, health screening and surveillance services while supporting the delivery of a compliant, high-quality occupational health service. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead, operational colleagues and the wider clinical and administrative teams.

The role is predominantly remote, with occasional visits to Thames Ditton if possible.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct remote and video-based case management consultations
  • Review health screening and surveillance results, advising on fitness for work and appropriate escalation
  • Undertake pre-placement screening and provide fitness reports
  • Conduct HAVS Tier 1 to 3 screening within your professional scope of practice
  • Make and oversee onward referrals where required
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments
  • Support the development and delivery of health promotion programmes
  • Provide professional advice on occupational health matters
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with GDPR, NMC and internal requirements
  • Support clinical audits, external accreditations and the development of clinical procedures
  • Liaise professionally with managers, employees, healthcare professionals and third-party occupational health providers
  • Organise and manage your own workload effectively
  • Attend relevant meetings and provide occupational health input
  • Maintain professional development, mandatory training and NMC revalidation 

Requirements

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse with the NMC, Part 1
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work autonomously with a high degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Reliable, organised, flexible and punctual
  • Able to meet the relevant DBS requirements
  • Full driving licence and access to your own transport

Desirable:

  • Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse in Occupational Health, NMC Part 3
  • People management experience
  • Knowledge of the OPAS G2 occupational health management system
  • Understanding of the SEQOHS audit and reaccreditation process
