About the Role A leading organisation within the UK renewable energy sector is seeking a CandI Solar OandM Field Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of commercial and industrial solar PV sites across the UK. This role will focus on planned preventative maintenance, reactive fault-finding, electrical testing, and remedial works across rooftop and ground-mount solar installations. Working closely with operational and technical teams, you will help ensure assets operate safely, reliably, and at optimum output whilst maintaining high standards of electrical and health and safety compliance. You will play a key role in identifying and resolving technical issues, monitoring system performance, and supporting clients throughout maintenance and repair activities across a growing portfolio of solar assets. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits across commercial and industrial rooftop and ground-mount solar PV sites. Diagnose and resolve faults across inverters, string and combiner boxes, DC and AC electrical systems, monitoring equipment, and mounting systems. Complete electrical testing and inspection, including insulation resistance, earth continuity, and string IV curve testing. Complete site documentation including RAMS, permits to work, service reports, and defect logs.
