Nurture Teacher Location: West Drayton Contract Type: Full-Time Salary: 200 - 260 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurture Teacher to join a specialist secondary provision supporting students aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.This position will focus on leading a Year 8 nurture group, delivering a carefully tailored curriculum that builds confidence, resilience, and academic progress while addressing barriers to learning. You will work closely with a small cohort of students, creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where they can thrive both socially and academically.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects and personal development areas for a Year 8 nurture group.Implement nurture group principles, focusing on emotional regulation, social skills, and academic catch-up.Support individualised learning programmes that meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH.Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to manage behaviour positively and effectively.Foster a safe and inclusive environment, encouraging students to build trust, self-esteem, and resilience.Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to support student progress.RequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is essential.Experience teaching students with SEMH needs, ideally within a nurture or specialist ..... full job details .....
