Nurture Teacher (Year 8) Location: West Drayton Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-Time Only) Salary: 200 - 240+ per day (depending on experience and qualifications)About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurture Teacher to join a specialist secondary provision supporting students aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.This position will focus on leading a Year 8 nurture group, delivering a carefully tailored curriculum that builds confidence, resilience, and academic progress while addressing barriers to learning. You will work closely with a small cohort of students, creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where they can thrive both socially and academically.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects and personal development areas for a Year 8 nurture group.Implement nurture group principles, focusing on emotional regulation, social skills, and academic catch-up.Support individualised learning programmes that meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH.Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to manage behaviour positively and effectively.Foster a safe and inclusive environment, encouraging students to build trust, self-esteem, and resilience.Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to support student progress.Monitor and report on academic and personal development outcomes, adapting strategies as required.RequirementsQualified ..... full job details .....
