Nurture Teacher - Alternative Provision Location: Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire Partner Agency: Tradewind Recruitment Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (with permanent contract opportunities) Pay Rate: £174.71- £262.00 per day (dependent on experience and scale) About the Role Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in close partnership with a progressive Alternative Provision (AP) in the Blackburn area. We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and skilled Nurture Teacher to lead and develop a specialist nurture provision for children and young people who require intensive emotional, social, and academic support. In this role, you will be at the heart of the school''s pastoral framework, creating a safe, low-stimulus, and therapeutic learning environment. Many of the pupils you support will have experienced trauma, school exclusion, or present with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your goal will be to help them rebuild their confidence, re-engage with education, and develop vital life and emotional regulation skills. Key Responsibilities Lead Nurture Provision: Design and deliver a bespoke, trauma-informed curriculum tailored to the individual developmental and emotional needs of small groups of students.
