We are currently recruiting caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistants to work through Academics across a number of welcoming Primary Schools in Cardiff. We have an increased demand for staff with strong Early Years experience, with a variety of positions available from September.

Our partner schools are looking for Nursery Teaching Assistants for full-time, 5-day-a-week roles as well as flexible day-to-day cover, giving you the opportunity to find a role that suits your availability and preferences.

• Opportunities starting from September 2026
• Full-time, long-term and day-to-day supply positions
• Roles across Primary School Nursery settings in Cardiff
• Competitive pay from -94 per day, with increases dependent on experience, qualifications and client rate
• Free safeguarding training
• Free allergy and anaphylaxis training
• Ongoing support from a dedicated Academics consultant

• Previous experience working within a Nursery or Early Years setting
• Experience supporting Nursery-aged children
• Confidence with personal care, including nappy changing, toileting and hygiene routines
• A caring, patient and nurturing approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children''s early development and learning

• Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Completion of required safeguarding and compliance checks
• Right to work documentation
