Poppies Maidenhead is a warm and nurturing nursery located just outside of Maidenhead, only a short 12 minute walk from Furze Platt Station, with convienent parking avaliable outside. This prime location makes it an ideal choice for families. With a Good Ofsted rating, our purpose built nursery offers light, spacious rooms equipped with high quality resources, including a lending library and acess to both secure ground level and rooftop gardens.

In addition to our rich indoor environment, we provide exicitng extra-cirricular activities, such as French lessons, to inspire and engage children in their learning journey. We believe in fostering meaningful learning experiences both indoor and outdoors.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Room Leader to join our team. The role offers 40 hours per week with shifts between 7:30am and 6pm. Please note that we operate year round, not term time only.

As Room Leader, you will:

\tProvide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.\tEnhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.\tAssist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality.\tPromote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency.\tAssist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.\tMaintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.\tEnsure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.\tUnderstand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.

As Room Leader, you will need:

\tFull and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification – Essential.\tOver 1 years’ experience working in Early Years – Essential.\tOver 6 months’ experience working in a senior position – Desirable.\tSound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating – Desirable.\tKnowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements – Essential.\tFluent in written and spoken English – Essential.
