Salary: £29,536 per annum + Qualification Bonus:

£400 Qualification Recognition bonus

to all our Level 3 Practitioners across all our Nurseries.

This bonus will be paid after just 6 months of service, making it the perfect time to join our team and be recognized for your qualifications and contributions. (based on a 40hr working week, bonus will be pro-rota for part time staff)

Level 3 Childcare Qualification essential

Royston Day Nursery are searching for a driven and passionate Room Leader to join their Toddlers in the 2-3’s Room due to internal promotion.

Throughout the room we follow individual interests and development to create a warm, home-like atmosphere to ensure the children thrive. As Room Leader, you will collaborate closely with other rooms to ensure smooth and positive transitions across the setting, contributing to a nurturing and welcoming environment for all.

Based near the centre of Royston on Lumen Road, a 5 minute walk away from the train station we have good transport links. The nursery also has its own carpark which is perfect for drivers.

Our nursery is open from 7:30am - 18:00pm and we would require you to be able to work varied shift patterns between those times.

Room Leader duties and responsibilities*:

\tProvide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development\tEnhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development\tAssist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality\tPromote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency\tAssist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff\tMaintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file\tEnsure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times\tUnderstand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met

Room Leader requirement and skills:

\tFull and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential\tOver 1 year’s experience working in Early Years - Essential\tOver 6 months’ experience working in a senior position - Desirable\tSound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable\tKnowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential\tFluent in written and spoken English - Essential
