Nursery Production Manager

Madisons are currently recruiting for a Nursery Production Manager to get started on a permanent basis for a client of ours based local to West Byfleet. Candidates must drive for this role due to the location Inaccessible on public transportDuties: To oversee the day to day running of the nursery production and stock control functions.To ensure timely, accurate and efficient completion of production tasks.To identify areas of inefficiency and work with the rest of the management team to put in place improved procedures.To identify strengths and weaknesses amongst the office ad production team and to train and motivate to achieve the required standards of performance.Manage the production team to lead their workload, preparing worksheets for stock control and production teams and keeping the work board updated,Producing weekly potting plans and monitoring the quality and timeliness of completion.Preparing an annual Production plan and liaising with suppliers and the propagator to ensure that all young plant material is available on a timely basis.Monitoring crops ensuring PandD issues are identified and crops are moved to a saleable state on a timely basis.Manage rotation of stock and space to facilitate efficiency of potting tasks.Routinely assessing effectiveness of the irrigation systems.Using softwares to inform the production schedules, raise purchase orders and manage stock numbers and locations.
