Qualified Nursery Practitioner – Colchester

TeacherActive is currently working with a number of welcoming and supportive nurseries across Colchester and is looking to recruit passionate and dedicated Qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our Early Years team.

The Role

• Competitive hourly pay from £14.25 per hour, with higher rates available depending on qualifications and experience

• Opportunities to work in a variety of excellent nursery settings across Colchester

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent)

• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting

• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

• A passion for supporting children''s learning and development

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through TeacherActive)

• Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years

• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for all children

• Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children''s learning and development in line with the EYFS

• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues

• Observe and record children''s progress where required

• Support children''s personal, social and emotional development

• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times

• Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor learning

• Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team

• Be flexible to support different age groups and rooms when required
