Nursery Practitioner – Flexible Part-Time – Chelmsford

This Nursery Practitioner role is perfect for someone seeking a better work-life balance while continuing to make a positive impact in early years settings.

As a flexible Nursery Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to choose the days and hours that suit you, working across a variety of nurseries. This role offers shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm, with complete flexibility depending on your availability.

This Nursery Practitioner position is available for an immediate start. However, we understand that some candidates may have a notice period, and we are happy to accommodate this. Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner:

• Supporting the learning and development of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Planning and delivering engaging, play-based activities where required
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children
• Observing and supporting children’s progress and development
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff teams
• Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times

Required Qualifications and Skills for the Nursery Practitioner:

• A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education)
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• A flexible and adaptable approach to working environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
