Pioneer People are looking for a passionate and dedicated Qualified Nursery Practitioner with a NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare to join our team in Birmingham.

The setting provides high-quality early years education and a nurturing environment for children aged 6 months to 5 years, and is seeking someone who shares its passion for helping children thrive.

You must have:

• Previous experience in a childcare setting (1-2 years minimum)
• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent)
• DBS on the update service (or willing to get one)
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the confidence to report concerns
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or willing to get one)
• A passion for working with children and helping them develop in a nurturing environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining attentiveness and staying alert to the needs and safety of the children.
• Supporting and caring for children in a safe and stimulating environment
• Engaging in room-based activities such as observations, journals, and planning activities
• Assisting with daily routines, ensuring the needs of each child are met
• Building positive relationships with children and parents
• Supporting a team of childcare practitioners
